I realised that my son, even at a young age of 3, knows what is love. I always tell him I love him, even when he fails or makes mistakes. Even when he makes me very angry, I would try to control myself and tell him, "Tim, you have made Mummy SO angry, but I STILL love you." And he would more often than not, back down, and apologise.
When Tim was almost 4, and if I made a mistake, or accidentally forgot something, he would hug me and say, "Mummy, it's ok. I still love you."
This book is essentially about that. We love, even when we are tripped by our emotions. We get upset over things, over outcomes, but we never stopped loving the person. Expressing this to your children builds them up, makes them secure and creates strong bonds between you and the child.
While reading to your child, I encourage you to create your own scenarios. Tell them, "When you do xxx, I will still love you." I hope this book blesses you!
This is my first book, and I hope you like it!
